About Nordic Walking

I’ve really enjoyed it. I like walking and was walking before – this gives me more of a workout with the upper body and I feel like my heart rate is up. It seems like with the poles I get in more of a rhythm and keep pace better, rather than dawdling when I walk.

I also like that it’s easier on my body and helps me with my posture - I stand more upright when walking. Plus it’s nice to have extra stability coming downhill.

This is new around here and I thought I was going to stand out like a sore thumb, but it’s been amazing how many people have stopped to ask me about it. It’s fun – we consider it a new sport! It makes going out walking each morning a little more enjoyable.

About Tone 'n Trek Poles

I’ve never used poles before for anything, but these are easy to use – just push a button to remove the straps and it’s easy to adjust the poles’ height.

About Nordic Walking

I've been using the Tone 'n Trek walking sticks in the mornings. I have had some knee issues and the walking sticks really helped to take the strain off my knee. And I couldn't believe how much my upper arms got a work out!

About Tone 'n Trek Poles

I really like the flip lock as my daughter has used the sticks as well and it was easy to switch the length - plus the numbers on the poles are helpful in remembering what length I use versus what my daughter needs. The flip lock makes so much sense since you can get the sticks to the length you want with just one touch - I can imagine what a hassle it would be to have to "turn the sticks" to the correct length like the other sticks I've seen...you made a smart decision with the flip lock. The color choices are fun as well!

Using the poles helps me with my upper body, I get more of a workout than just walking and I feel like it’s good for the heart. I was able to get the hang of it quickly.

About Tone 'n Trek Poles

The Tone ‘n Trek poles are nice. They’re good quality and it’s simple to adjust them – just undo the lock and slide the pole down. I use the numbers to always get it accurate.

About Nordic Walking
I can really feel it in my upper body, rib cage, torso and abs. At first I was a bit uncomfortable, particularly since the popularity of this sport has not reached the USA as it has in Europe and I was wondering what people were thinking about me using the poles. Now, I won't walk without the poles - they give my arms and upper body purpose as I walk and deliver on the promise of a greater/fuller body workout.

About Tone 'n Trek Poles

The Tone 'n Trek poles are sturdy and durable, and really simple to use. The flip lock makes it easy to adjust them, and the releasable straps are convenient when I want to switch tunes on my Ipod.

About Nordic Walking

I’ve had knee replacements in both knees. Not only do the Tone ‘n Trek poles make walking much easier but they also do so much more. Using the poles exercises both your lower and upper body, yet makes it easier to walk and doesn’t exhaust you.

It’s very invigorating, it actually gives you a boost that propels you in a mild way without too much effort. It really does make walking more pleasurable. And by the way, I'm 85!

About Tone 'n Trek Poles

I like that the Tone ‘n Trek poles are lightweight and easy to hold with no complicated grip or anything like that. They’re very simple and easy to adjust…and good-looking!

About Nordic Walking

I use them in the mall almost every day in the winter and when it’s raining outside. I feel more confident, I can walk faster than just regular walking, and my arms move more.

When I first started doing it I noticed I was sweating a little, which I never do when walking. And I could feel the muscles in my arms get a little sore so I knew it was working.

About Tone 'n Trek Poles
The Tone ‘n Trek poles are very, very nice…so many features. They’re very easy to adjust the length. I’ve raised them higher now as I’ve gotten better - I didn’t feel my arms were working enough anymore. I like that the straps are easy to click in and click out – comes in handy when I have to blow my nose while walking. I really enjoy them!

About Nordic Walking & Tone 'n Trek Poles
It actually is pretty fun. It makes you want to try harder then regular walking. Once you get the hang of it, it's easy. Yes it seems sort of silly at first, but with Tone 'n Trek's handles and the colorful poles, they actually look kind of cool.

About Nordic Walking
I've been teaching Nordic walking classes for about a year now, and I typically hear the same type of comments from my clients:

  • "It's the first time I've walked without pain in years."
  • "I can't believe how much distance we've covered with such little effort."
  • "It feels like I'm not working hard at all, yet I get so much out of it and my heart rate is up."

My clients often comment that they feel it in the stomach, back, shoulders, arms and chest - in a good way! But I've never had even one client say they've felt soreness in the legs or lower body.

About Tone 'n Trek Poles

My clients like the Tone 'n Trek poles because they're quick and easy to adjust with just a flip of the lock, and it's really convenient that the straps come out with a simple click.

I like the poles because I don't have to spend 15 minutes of class time to get my clients set up with their poles, which is a complaint I've heard from instructors who use other poles that have twist-locks and regular straps.
